[Luffy was wandering through the forest for the millionth-umnphtenth time since he first got here, mumbling to himself about how much he hates 'those bastards' and how he wanted to kick Mingo's ass. Well, at the very least The Straw Hat captain took some joy in getting the chance to see some old faces again! He actually wondered who was still here and how much time has past since his last abduction. Eventually, the rubber boy comes to a stop.]

...I wonder if they changed how the village looks.

[Actually, that would be cool right? Some revamps to the structure and what not? That thought actually made him pretty excited! So, instead of just walking like a normal person, Luffy is going to use his rubber powers to literally fling himself into town. Which will inevitably cause him to crash, slam into or break whatever he comes into contact with. Whether that's a bench, or a window, or a person. And when the dust settles, he will just be lying or sitting there with his arms crossed and a disgruntled look on his face.]

EHH!? So, they really didn't change this dump at all!? [He's more concerned about aesthetics than anything else. Don't worry whatever he broke or messed up will be fine! Eventually. In some way or another.]

Oi, guys! Since people always look so bored on the journals, I've been thinking about a new journal game! It's called VERSUS! You just pick two people from Luceti you want to see fight, and other people get to choose who they think'll win! It sounds really cool right!? Yosh, I'll start it!

Where I come from, there are a lot of people like that too. But then, there are just as many people from Heaven who just have more power than any mortal without training. Space people too. Because of how their planets work.

And Goku does train, he trains really hard.

So you're saying Goku's like that? That he was just born stronger than a lot of people?

Well that helps me feel better! I figured he trained a lot, but after hearing this I thought he was naturally that strong. I was gonna get really mad!

He was born stronger and he still trains. He has to, to keep up with people in his world I think.

And I assume you're just talking about the punching things kind of strong right?

Oh yeah, I didn't even think about that! If he's that strong, the other people from his world must be ridiculous too!

That's what I mean. But Goku has all those laser beams too so he doesn't even have to punch anyone... [Hmph. Wish he had laser beams...]

Hnn. I think he said it has something to do with Ki. Goku told me once that every living thing has it, so I think it's like the Haki that I use since my teacher told me the same thing about that too.

Well, you could always learn magic? That's how I make energy attacks.

So with magic I could do laser beams too!? What's the catch, is it hard to learn??

Well, I did learn Haki. But I think that's a lot different from magic, so I wouldn't really put any bets down.

I could give it a shot though.

Haki? Like Marco and Smoker? And Ace and Law?

[She knows those people, at least. But she's never met a Luffy before.]

Marco talked a lot about it, but it seemed a lot like ki or Anima. Not really magic.

We're all from the same world, so yeah, just like them.

I've never heard of Anima before, but yeah I guess! What makes magic so different from everything?

Well that makes it easier. Who are you, anyway?

You probably haven't heard of Anima because it's from my world. And what sets magic apart is that it breaks the rules. All of them. Magic can do anything. Once you learn how to use it correctly, anyway.

Ahhh, okay! I think Raine from the school teaches magic too now that I think about it! But it always looked really complicated so I never bothered much with it. [And he thinks for a second.] ...but if magic can do anything, then what's the drawback of it?

And I guess the downside is that magic is difficult to learn and excel at. And if you mess something up, it can have dire consequences.

It took me over a year to learn the basics of Haki! Geez, how long does it take to learn magic then?

Years!? Oi, I don't have that kinda time, it took me long enough to learn Haki! I better just get better with what I have.

And maybe so. Magic also requires reading. Do you read much, Luffy?

Yeah, it is funny! And you know all this stuff about me, but I don't know anything about you! I guess I was gone for a pretty long time.

Hnnn. I'm not really a big fan. [As if that wasn't obvious.]

Well I've been here three years. I'm just not as noisy, I suppose. And besides, you know my name, you know I can do magic, and you know that I can use Anima. That's more than you did when we started talking.

And if you don't want to read, then magic is probably out of the question. But you could try making your haki into a beam and squeezing it at people, probably.

Oh, yeah that's true. I didn't think about it that way...

Squeeze my Haki into a beam!? I can really do that!!?? [Is that a secret technique Marco and Ace use!?]

Maybe? I'm not sure. have you tried?

I haven't, but I'm feeling really pumped up. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm definitely gonna give it a shot!
