Well, the data does mention another group who may have a hand on this, but anyway it's not sure. My point of view is simply that, during a long time it seems people here only knew about the Malnosso, yet at some point another group came to public knowledge. There's no way to know if it's only those two groups experimenting and interfering with us here or if there's yet another group. The letter did seem to point to that idea and as I said just because the gate was a trap it doesn't mean all in the letter was a lie.

Though I don't trust the bit about our worlds being affected.
