HNNN. Those bastards really don't give up do they? And they always pick the worst times to bring me back!

[Luffy was wandering through the forest for the millionth-umnphtenth time since he first got here, mumbling to himself about how much he hates 'those bastards' and how he wanted to kick Mingo's ass. Well, at the very least The Straw Hat captain took some joy in getting the chance to see some old faces again! He actually wondered who was still here and how much time has past since his last abduction. Eventually, the rubber boy comes to a stop.]

...I wonder if they changed how the village looks.

[Actually, that would be cool right? Some revamps to the structure and what not? That thought actually made him pretty excited! So, instead of just walking like a normal person, Luffy is going to use his rubber powers to literally fling himself into town. Which will inevitably cause him to crash, slam into or break whatever he comes into contact with. Whether that's a bench, or a window, or a person. And when the dust settles, he will just be lying or sitting there with his arms crossed and a disgruntled look on his face.]

EHH!? So, they really didn't change this dump at all!? [He's more concerned about aesthetics than anything else. Don't worry whatever he broke or messed up will be fine! Eventually. In some way or another.]

Oi, guys! Since people always look so bored on the journals, I've been thinking about a new journal game! It's called VERSUS! You just pick two people from Luceti you want to see fight, and other people get to choose who they think'll win! It sounds really cool right!? Yosh, I'll start it!

[HE ACTUALLY MOVED BACK!? Luffy knew he had gotten stronger, no doubt! He just has to keep the pressure up!

And Vegeta is right in assuming that. Because as soon as he starts to fly back, Luffy stretches his head to follow after him! CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP!!]

[UNFORTUNATELY LUFFY WAS MID CHOMP. So it actually does go directly into his mouth and explodes in it causing his head to expand for a brief moment like a cartoon would. Luckily he's okay for the most part but the surprise causes him to go stumbling back as he coughs up smoke.

That was such a d-bag move Vegeta!]

[He stops, landing and taking his own fighting stance. Well then. Interesting. This definitely reminds him of Buu now. And the only way to really beat him is either to beat him so senseless that he doesn't have any energy anymore or completely disintegrate him.

Stupid kid, what a pain-! He thinks as he rushes in, and aims a kick to Luffy's head to send it flying through a bunch of trees...knowing full well that all that will happen is that the neck will stretch as far as it needs to, as what's been happening already.

But maybe...]

[Well he's definitely right about that! With a normal person that probably would have knocked his head clean off, but with his rubbery powers, it causes his head to get sent back. Way back. Like waaaay back.

It travels a fairly large distance before it finally stops. BUT NOW FOR THE COUNTER ATTACK! He begins to retract his neck and tries to bring his head in for a headbutt. A real one this time!]

[misterbrief]

[HERE IT COMES oh boy. That's definitely a head snapping back at him and it looks like it might hurt a bit. It's also traveling pretty fast. A lot faster than he thought it was going to-

That thought gets cut off as Luffy's head slams right into him, sending him flying through trees, snapping right in half as he decimates quite a few before he can stop himself in midair.

OKAY THAT HURT. This kid's head is almost as hard as Kakarot's-!]

Gomu Gomu no!!!

[And Luffy is RUSHING towards Vegeta as fast as he can to try to do a follow up attack to the headbutt. He knows he might not get another opportunity to hit him, the guy is way too fast! Vegeta might notice Luffy's fist stretching way back and turns a black shiny color before actually igniting ON FIRE! He's going to try and punch Vegeta in the stomach with this!]

RED HAWK!!! [He's essentially doing this!]

[Finally managing to stop himself, it's only a split second before Luffy comes in with his attack, slamming Vegeta in the stomach and sending him flying once again. He travels quite a distance away, arcing through the air before finally coming down and slamming into the ground, sending dirt, snow and anything else in the area soaring high up into the air with the impact.

Dirt and dust create a thick cloud around the area, and with sight alone one wouldn't be able to tell if anything is moving. It floats around the small crater in the ground, but even so, inside of the cloud, a hand moves and pushes himself up...]

[Instincts tells Luffy he should follow up again, but he decides against it, instead taking a moment to catch his breath a little. It wasn't like this was a fight to the death (maybe).]

Phew. I put everything I had into that punch too, but I bet he's not down yet. Dammit, these saiyan guys are ridiculous. He hasn't even powered up once...

[He yells to the cloud of dirt and dust Vegeta is in.]

OI! YOU GOING "SUPER" IN THERE, BASTARD?

[misterbrief]

[He raises an eyebrow, irritated that it seemed that Luffy already knew about the transformation...how annoying, he was going to save that for later if he had to use it. He'll blame Kakarot for that one, since it seemed this boy knew him. He doesn't answer the question, but rather, starts cackling as his form starts to materialize from the cloud.]

Well, well, I must say, I'm impressed. I haven't met too many around here who can pack a punch quite like that. [He stops a ways from Luffy, now completely visible.]

I've fought someone like you before. [Not talking about how Vegeta totally got his ass kicked by that someone.] So I certainly hope that isn't all you've got. Because now, I'm going to make you pay for that little attack of yours.

[And then...he vanishes! He's moved to get behind Luffy.]

...it's not good enough! It's been years since me and Goku fought. [Well. In Luceti time. Technically. He went home for a while too.] If I'm still not good enough to push you guys... then I need even more training than I thought!!

[This fight was more than just Vegeta being a big jerk face! He wanted to see if he had managed to catch up with people from Goku's world or not! And the answer was that, well, he was still lagging pretty far behind. People always call him a monster as far as strength goes, but these guys are actually real monsters.]

You fought a rubberman...??? [That's actually really surprising. He could've sworn he was like the only one!! Anyway he doesn't have the time to think much about it as Vegeta is soon rushing him down. The thing about Haki is that Luffy can actually sense the physical movements Vegeta is going to do. But the guy is so fast he can still only barely keep up with him despite it.

If the Prince is observant he might notice this, because despite being much slower, Luffy is already in the process of trying to turn around to prepare to block any attack Vegeta might throw at him. Unfortunately he'll still just be a bit too slow to really defend himself against anything he'll throw out.]

[It's interesting, given how the fight has gone so far. Vegeta knows he's faster, unless Luffy is hiding something yet from him. Which, could be the case, that's how it seems to go with most enemies he's faced from home. But even as he blows past Luffy to get behind him, the boy is moving even before that. Interesting indeed.

But in the end, that doesn't matter to him. If he's going to block his attack, he's going to give him an attack that will rock the foundations of the earth around them. Because he's also confident that Luffy can handle an attack like that.

Luffy's Haki will tell him that there's not one, but two kicks coming his way- one spin turn kick to his stomach, and another comes as Vegeta uses his own momentum from the first spin to throw a second spin turn kick to Luffy's head. And these blows will be much harder than the last ones. Enough that the ground is starting to crack and give way beneath the two fighters from the energy he's exerting.

He'll...get around to answering Luffy's question of another rubberman.]

[Luffy doesn't have enough time to do much about the first kick. He tries to bring up his arm to block it, but the kick is already landing into his stomach, causing the part he hit to cave in from the impact!]

UGH! [He's made of rubber, so the attack didn't break anything or do any long term damage, but the impact alone is really overwhelming. He's not used to getting hit this hard and it's been a very long time since he last fought Goku. The attack is enough to distract him to the point that he doesn't think to try and block the second attack until it's too late to. What he does do though is use his Haki to lessen the impact! Vegeta might notice the cheek he's about to kick turns a black shiny color right before his foot makes contact.

Even with Haki though, it's not enough to help him hold his ground. Because as soon as the attack connects he's sent flying into the mountain, the rock easily giving way to the force as Luffy makes a hole in the side of it. And this is him without going "super" too! That's what pisses Luffy off the most!!]

[He doesn't rush to follow up on the attack, giving the hole a good once over, hovering over the ground. The kid is really intriguing. It's actually fun for him to test and see what Luffy is made of- literally- and every step of the way is more and more fascinating. And he's certainly not bored, because he's got other ideas of what to do to test Luffy's limits.

He figures the kid is recuperating in the hole, that's what he would do if it were him. Probably planning an attack. He finally tries to start to sense the pirate, because logic tells him that surely the kid's got a power level. Unless that's some kind of witchcraft he's using for his power, he should be able to find him, he thinks.]

What's the matter? Had enough? [He calls out, taunting Luffy.]

[There's no response in return for a little while, just silence for the most part. But before long there is rumbling going on from inside the mountain, and the sound of rocks being moved aside and broken apart. The muffled sound of his voice comes from within the mountain as this happens.]

Gomu Gomu no-- [And suddenly a huge black fist is going to plow it's way out of the mountain, blowing out a big chunk of it, with the next target in it's path being Vegeta!]

ELEPHANT GUN!!! [The problem with Gear Third is that it reduces his speed and it takes a long time to prepare. At least by Saiyan Standards. He figures the only way he can ever use it is in surprise attacks!]

Yeeeeeh! [He lets out a small cry, not quite knowing first of all:

So what he does instead is brace himself, and gets ready to CATCH THAT GIANT THING with his bare hands and try to stop it. He might be going for a ride backwards but he's going to try to see if he can stop it first!]

[When the fist actually hits Vegeta at first Luffy thinks he got him! And that you know, the guy isn't trying the catch the thing (because why would you EVEN). He puts basically all the force he can muster behind the punch at that point, seeing if he can do some serious damage to the guy or maybe even knock him out!!]

HUUUUAAAAAAAAHHHH!!! [Lots of yelling on Luffys end as he tries his very best to try and send Vegeta flying! But then he starts to notice something strange: he's actually LOSING momentum behind the attack, not gaining. No matter how much force he puts behind the fist, eventually it slows to a steady halt.]

[It all seems really strange to him until he finally notices that Vegeta actually CAUGHT the surprise attack. WHAT.]

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!!!??

YOU REALLY CAUGHT IT!? WOW, YOU'RE CRAZY!!! [This is actually means a lot coming from Luffy.]

[misterbrief]

[The fist slams into his open palms, and boy is he giving it his all at his current level of power to stop it. It starts to slow down, teeth gritted as he finally feels himself come to a halt. That was exciting.]

Heheheheheheh. [He's laughing from behind the black fist, and gets a good grip on it.]

That's right! [He yells, as he starts to spin in circles, faster and faster, with the intent of giving Luffy a good ride before he throws him into the heavens. Well, at least high enough that Luffy can still breathe.]

[Oh, right, for a brief moment he had almost forgotten that they were still fighting. Well there's not much he can do about Vegeta flinging him since the guy had a pretty good grip on him. He yells as he's flung towards the sky, and it's at that point that something occurs to him: Saiyans can fly too. He had almost forgotten about that! These guys can do everything, damn!

Since he's going to be at a pretty disadvantage in the air, he is going to try to discourage Vegeta from following him as much as possible! So, he blows air into his second fist as well, giving him TWO huge black fists! The captain begins to punch towards the ground where Vegeta is (was?) And surprising, despite their size he can actually punch those things pretty fast. Fast enough to create after images even.]

Gomu Gomu no ELEPHANT GATLING!

[misterbrief]

[He'd taken off from the ground already in pursuit, and yet another huge black fist comes raining down at him from above. He's not catching this one, so he darts off to the side in an attempt to dodge the thing, clipping him and sending him spiraling off to one side. His ki finally explodes out from around him in a blue glow (DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE INACCURATE ICON) to stop himself, glaring upward. Luffy bought himself a few seconds or so.

Blasted kid-!

He puts more speed behind it now, soaring upward and closing in quickly.]

[He'll take whatever small victories he can get, even if it's just for a few seconds! Vegeta is moving way too fast, so it's too late for any kind of change in maneuvers now. He's just going to have to keep going with what he's got!

The punches steadily begins to gather more momentum and right now his only plan is to try to stall Vegeta as much as he can, sending down a rain of giant fists at the man and creating large craters on the ground beneath them. He's not thinking about it right now, but later on he's going to hope that this place repairs itself over time still. Otherwise his crew is gonna kill him!]

[misterbrief]

[He is determined not to get hit a second time, but having to dodge this ridiculous amount of strikes is insane. Having to flash from side to side for some of the punches, and flying as fast as he can upwards, it's definitely slowing him down with all the extra movement he has to do. He can hear the ground under him cracking and shattering under the force of Luffy's fists, knowing if he allowed himself to be struck again, it wouldn't be good.

Throwing a blast now wouldn't help either. It'll just explode in his face, even if it does hurt Luffy.

But even so, Luffy's bought himself even more time- but when Vegeta reaches him, he'll be flashing up and above Luffy's head, a double axe-hand strike coming down on his head unless he's got a plan!]

[He actually does not have anything planned and when Vegeta gets behind him, he can't exactly stop his gigantic attack either. Doing that move was kind of a one way street.]

Dammit!! [Which is all he can say before Vegeta's attack slams into the back of his head and sends him flying fast towards the ground. When he lands, he makes a small crater of his own, dirt, and snow getting thrown everywhere. He gets up quickly though, breathing heavily as he lets the air out of his inflated limbs.

It's time for a change in tactics. He thinks about his conversation with Saori earlier about how Goku can use beams and what not and he gets an idea from it. He gets up off the ground and grabs his right arm at the bicep. He bends his knees and assumes the same stance Goku does when he's doing the Kamehameha.]

Destructiiiive...

[He squeezes his bicep tightly and uses his arm as a blood pump just like he did for his legs, but he's pumping the blood at a much faster than he did before.]

TURTLE--!!!

[Steam begins to erupt from his arm as his skin starts to turn a much redder color from just the amount of heat that's flowing through it. He cocks back a punch as if he was throwing a baseball, and sends an elongated fist flying towards Vegeta so fast that his glowing red arm almost looks like he fired a red beam of energy.]

[He grins a wicked grin as Luffy is sent flying down towards the ground, the crack and boom of the ground collapsing under the pirate sent a wave of satisfaction to the Saiyan Prince. This is, after all, his favorite thing to do in the entire universe, and having an opponent like Luffy is just what the doctor ordered (unless we're talking about Law, and then it's not what the doctor ordered at all.)

He starts a slow descent down, keeping his senses open and trying to see if he'd gotten back up after a strike like that. Foolish boy, who does he think he is! But no matter, Vegeta will make sure that he enjoys this.]
